FIELD GUIDE /LOADOUTS

Free loadouts, explained

Low on equipment? Check the Free Loadout option at Ready Up before spending your remaining resources.

Where to look

The official FOB guide identifies Free Loadout on the Ready Up screen. It equips basic gear for a deployment. Extracted equipment from that loadout can be kept.

Check the kit, then choose the task

Treat the offered gear as a starting point rather than a promise that it fits every encounter. Read what is equipped before committing to a route.

  1. Inspect the weapons and the supplies actually shown on your screen.
  2. Keep the objective modest if the kit is unfamiliar.
  3. Test weapon handling when you have access to the Firing Range.
  4. Reassess the route if it depends on equipment you do not have.

Free loadout does not mean free game

A no-cost kit is an in-game feature. It does not establish that MW4 DMZ itself is free-to-play. Check the official purchase and access information for your platform.

Build a repeatable reset

After a loss, use a short preparation routine instead of rushing back in to recover the same result. Choose a smaller objective, check the kit again, and set a clear point at which you will head for extraction.
