MW4 DMZ vs BO7 Endgame
The decisive difference is player hostility: MW4 DMZ combines rival players with AI threats, while the official BO7 Endgame briefing describes a cooperative PvE environment.

Other players: opponents or allies?
In BO7 Endgame, the official guide says players work together in Avalon. Squads may pursue their own objectives or help each other. DMZ leaves room for fighting, truces and betrayal. For someone seeking PvE-only cooperation, this is a more consequential difference than whether both games use extraction.

BO7 Endgame’s launch briefing describes up to 32 players and squads of four. Infinity Ward’s DMZ AMA describes up to 20 squads, or 60 players, with solo/duo/trio matchmaking preferences and in-match assimilation capped at four. These are published limits, not a promise that every lobby is full.

Endgame’s briefing centers on Combat Rating, Skill Tracks and climbing exposure zones. DMZ’s developers emphasize the FOB, persistent stash, materials and Operator recovery. Our interpretation: pick the loop you want to repeat—cooperative power growth or equipment preparation with player risk—rather than judging either mode from a trailer alone.
